There are many different kinds of cheeseburgers in the world. Yet, they all have similar elements: buns, cheese, veggies, and ground meat. The differences all make a cheeseburger, even if they are not exactly what we expect. Some of them are more difficult and fiddly than your ordinary cheeseburger. Some might be so out of the box, they could easily be called something else. It is best to be open minded, kind, and keep a sense of humor when confronting a cheeseburger while you are out and about.
There are many different kinds of people in the world, and, they too, have similar elements. All people are humans with curious minds, flaming souls, and hearts that desire to be filled. The outside things are condiments, if you will. Hair for instance. Some of us have curly locks, others have rich red tresses, and some of us haven’t any at all. It isn’t important. The things that make us different give each one of us flavor and spice. These keep us from becoming boring and complacent in our ever changing world.
With people, being open minded, kind, and having a sense of humor is incredibly important. I am sure you have run into this often. Not to laugh at people, but to love on their quirkinesses (I made that word up!). As a child of God, we need to have discernment, faith in Him, and practice what He preached when we meet people around us. This isn’t entirely easy. Life isn’t supposed to be. If life was easy we’d be plastic wrapped pre-formed patties on synthetic tasting buns in a deli somewhere. God didn’t create us for that. He created us to live, to grow, to share, and to spread the news of Him. He could have the rocks cry out and proclaim His majesty, but in this day and age who would believe a rock? They’d carbon date the poor proclaimer and insist it was so old it didn’t know what it was saying.
Stuff your mind with good Godly thoughts, feed the flames of the soul with fuel, and fill the hearts around you with caring. In other words, craft your lives with the pizazz you’d find in a cheeseburger, add the fruits of the Spirit, devour the best parts, and let them become a part of you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit*,
